Coronavirus: US Secretary, Pompeo hints on new evidence against Chinese labs

US Secretary of State, Mr. Mike Pompeo on Sunday alleged that there was “enormous evidence” suggesting that  Coronavirus (COVID-19) originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

According to Pompeo, China has a history of operating substandard laboratories and infecting the world with viruses.

“There is enormous evidence that this is where it began,” Pompeo said on ABC’s This Week.

“We have said from the beginning that this was a virus that originated in Wuhan, China.

“We took a lot of grief for that from the outset. But I think the whole world can see now.”

He added: “Remember, China has a history of infecting the world, and they have a history of running substandard laboratories.

“These are not the first times that we have had the world exposed to viruses as a result of failures in a Chinese lab.”

The US President, Donald Trump while briefing the White House press on Thursday, said he had seen evidence that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was actually the source of the pandemic.
