Delta State Police command arrests twenty one suspected cultists, recovers six cut to sizes guns, one thousand ammunition

Police detectives at the Delta State Police Command in Asaba on Tuesday arrested twenty one Suspected Cultists in Ozoro and Okpanam Communities and recovered from them Six Cut to sizes guns, one thousand ammunition.
Acting Police Public Relations Officer in the State, ASP Chucks Orisewezie, who Confirmed the arrest of the disclosed that the Police detectives acted on Intelligence.
He said the Suspects upon interrogation, confessed to be members of the dreaded Vicking confraternity, a cult group that has been terrorizing the area in the past one year.
 Orisewezie noted that cultism activities has recently increased in the State.
 ”The Police is working very hard to ensure cultism and all forms of Criminal activities are no longer in existence in the State, the twenty one Suspected Cultists will be charged to court on completion of investigation”.  Chucks Orisewezie said
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command has rescued an Egptian national abducted by Suspected Kidnappers in Okpanam Community recently
 Orisewezie, who also confirmed the rescue of the Egyptian to newsmen in Asaba disclosed that the victim was lured to Asaba by a group of international kidnappers led by One Sunny ( Sure name withheld) with the pretense of awarding him a contract in Nigeria, adding that the victim was kept for over Six Months in a building behind Vanguard Office in Okpanam.
ASP Chucks Orisewezie said that while the victim was in Captivity, the wife was ordered to continuously pay huge sums of money into an account belonging to one of the Suspects.
Respite however came for the victim when he raised alarm during the governorship elections which attracted some residents of the area and subsequently led to the arrest of the criminals.
