Nigeria has recalled its Ambassador to South Africa.
The nation has also pulled out of the World Economic Summit taking place in Cape Town South Africa.
The news of the recall comes a few hours after President Muhammadu Buhari and the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama to discuss the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other foreign nationals in South Africa.
It appears the decision to shun the World Economic Forum was also reached at that meeting.
Meanwhile Nigerians have started a trend on twitter to register their grievance on continued attacks on Nigerians in diaspora without the intervention of the President.
