The Governing Council of National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has suspended the implementation of its new tariffs launched in June 1 2019.The move is aimed at satisfying yearnings of stakeholders in the pharmaceutical, Food and Allied Industries.

Chairman, NAFDAC Governing Council, Hon. Inuwa Abdul-Kadir said the health body arrived at the decision after careful consideration by the Stakeholders Forum and Meeting of the Governing Council.The meeting had resolved that stakeholders affected by the new tariffs should revert to payment of the old tariffs until further notice.

The new decision was disclosed in a press statement made available to newsmen in Abuja by the Director of Public Affairs NAFDAC, Dr. Abubakar Jimoh.Mr Abubakar said the status quo remains while NAFDAC will continue to dialogue with all the concerned stakeholders on the tariff review and other regulatory issues.
