The National Examinations Council (NECO) has said it will not extend the registration period for the 2021 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school-based candidates.
The Registration exercise which commenced on 31st March is expected to end on Friday, 25th June 2021 while the examination will commence on Monday, 5th July 2021.
This is according to a press statement by Azeez Sani, the
Head of Information and Public Relations Division of NECO.
The exam body said it took the decision not to extend registration to enable it efficiently plan the logistics required for the smooth conduct of the forthcoming 2021 SSCE internal examination.
NECO enjoined State Ministries of Education, Commandants, Principals, Proprietors and other relevant stakeholders to take note of the closing date and ensure timely completion of their candidates’ registration.
The Council assured its stakeholders of its resolve to conduct a seamless 2021 SSCE exam.
